everfind is an AI-powered enterprise search tool designed for product and IT teams. It connects to tools like Google Drive and OneDrive, understands the content inside, and makes it accessible through a conversational AI assistant. Rather than searching by filename or folder, users can ask everfind questions and instantly retrieve answers from their company’s knowledge.

Problem
In fast-moving teams, documentation often exists but it’s hard to find. Whether buried in outdated folders, lost in someone’s private Drive, or split across multiple platforms, important knowledge becomes effectively invisible. Some key challenges we identified: • Employees spend hours each week searching for information they know exists • Document search is limited to file names or surface-level metadata • Team members repeat work because prior knowledge is inaccessible or unknown • Context switching between tools breaks focus and slows progress We wanted to tackle a deceptively simple but deep problem: How can we make knowledge instantly findable without changing how teams work or where they store their files?
Solution & Experience
We built everfind as a layer on top of existing tools. It connects to Google Drive, OneDrive, and others, continuously indexes files, and uses a large language model (LLM) to interpret and retrieve answers from their contents. The result: a seamless AI assistant that feels like a teammate who always knows where to look. Key product design elements: • Conversational interface: Users type natural language questions (“What’s the current status of Project X?”) and receive clear answers with references to source documents. • Cross-tool knowledge base: No need to migrate files. Everfind works across existing platforms and extracts value from what’s already there. • Smart summaries & updates: Everfind can generate briefings or updates from project folders or new documents. • Minimal interface, maximum context: The UI is intentionally quiet—focused on search, answers, and exploration. I focused heavily on designing a calm, trustworthy experience that balances AI power with transparency. Each interaction was designed to reduce cognitive load and encourage adoption—even from skeptical or non-technical users.
Final thoughts
Building everfind sharpened my belief that design’s highest role is to reduce friction in how people work and think. In this project, it meant helping people not search better, but stop searching altogether and just ask. As a designer and founder, I had to make trade-offs daily: between ideal UX and technical feasibility, between product depth and team bandwidth. But the core vision stayed constant: Knowledge should work for people, not the other way around.
